WATER AND ICE STATIONS
Water & Ice stops are located at every mile along the 6.2 -mile course (more often as the weather dictates). Rest assured we will take every precaution.
Participants may be 8 years or older for this event.

1. The Corporate Team Tool has been included, which allows the following:
A Captain must come in and create a team (just the team name) by clicking on the “Create your Team” button within the event details page.
They must then come back into registration, click on the “Register Now “ button
Select their “Team Category” of choice
Select their team from the drop down menu, and complete registration if they are participating as a member of their own team.
Once the captain has created the team name and has registered, they must notify each member of their team to come into Active and register as apart of their team.
Each member who is notified that their team has been created can then come into the main registration page, click the “Register Now” button.

Registrations are non-refundable, however, can be transferable to another GC running event. The Georgia Cup Health & Wellness supports a variety of local charities and active civic organizations. We also encourage donations to the Happy Hearts Fund - http://www.happyheartsfund.org/.
Remember! This is a RELAY. There are 4 "legs" of 3.27 miles. If you have a 2 person team: Member 1 will run leg 1 and 3. Member 2 will run leg 2 and 4. If you have a 4 person team: each member will run 1 of the 3.27 mile legs. We will give specific direction as to When, where and why right before the start of the race. 3 Member teams will count as 4 member teams for scoring (using their oldest member's age twice). If you are running the Half by yourself you will be scored as a 2 person team by simply doubling your age!
ALL GC will use electronic BIB TAG timing for all events. Runners will receive a gun time - net to each finish based upon elapsed time. Results included; Gun Start (including Wave Starts), your split time and Team time. Per USATF Rule 245 all awards are based on gun times.
All participants will be timed as a "Split" (know your "Leg) on each leg and well as the team!
There is a 2.5 hour time limit for the half marathon.
Your race number can ONLY be picked up on race day before the start. T-Shirts & other Swag will be at the finish. Present your BIB for the T-Shirt.
CATEGORIES & AWARDS
Special awards will be given to the overall 2-person & 4-person teams. Awards will also be given to the top three 2-person & 4-person teams, teams can be mixed (Mixed - Male Female), based upon the following "COMBINED" team age: , teams can be mixed (Mixed - Male Female), based upon the following "Combined" team age:
2-person teams - Under 40, 41-50, 51-70, 71-100 & 101+
4-person teams - Under 80, 81-100, 101-140, 141-200 & 201+

High School 2 Person Team - Men

(All MUST be in high School - Do NOT have to be from the same school - Team name could be "Duluth/Norcross - A Team".
ALL FINISHERS GET A GC 13.1 finisher medal!
Per USATF Rule 245 all awards are based on gun times.
All legs of the course will be individually timed as well at the "TEAM" time. The team member running the LAST leg will have a special BIB number.
Bicycles, skateboards, baby strollers/joggers, roller skates, animals, and headphones are NOT allowed in the race.
